Piccadilly Market
Piccadilly is an atmospheric flea market that functions as an antiques and crafts market from Tuesday to Saturday. However, on Mondays it is dedicated to food. Inside you can admire some carvings of the master Grinling Gibbons. What’s more, the temple even has its own cafeteria. Lastly, the small church garden is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon of shopping.
Camden Town
Camden Town is a must-see if you are in London. The market is filled with antiques, although the curious flea market is what I would advise you to focus on. For many who visit London, this flea market quickly becomes a highlight of their trip. The market seemingly has no end; changing style as you continue through the area. The Stables Market for example, is a part of the market that is built inside an old horse clinic. If you are in London, I can’t recommend Camden Town enough.
Covent Garden Market
Covent Garden Square is another location that can’t be missed on a city trip to London. Here you can find the famous Apple Market, as well as the Jubilee Market. This area of the city is also host to many stores and restaurants, and is located in the heart of the city. I would definitely recommend a visit!
Portobello Road, Notting Hill
This lovely flea market is very famous and known by most (if not all) Londoners. This area of the city is where you can find many antique stores that are open daily. The flea market itself however, is only open on Saturdays. The first part of the market is where you will discover all the antiques. Further in, you will find many clothing stalls. Finally, towards the end of the market is where you can find food stalls containing fresh fruits and vegetables.
Brixton Market
In this famous market you can find a wide range of food and clothing, but the main attraction here is the large number of African and Caribbean products. This market is a reflection of the community that resides in this area of the city. I wouldn’t miss this market if I were you.
