Work a detective murder case on foot through the centre of Aalst, from the belfry to St Martin's Church and the city museum.

バルサザールは死にました。手がかりはアールストの街を通っていて、そこをたどる人はほかにいません。

遊ぶのはご自分のスマートフォン、進む速さもご自分次第、そして事件現場はアールストです。テーブルの上ではなく実際の通りで進むマダミス。手がかり、デジタルの証人、破るべき暗号、そして最後に名前を挙げる犯人。推理ゲームとして必要なものは揃っていて、ないのはガイドと開始時刻と団体だけです。

ルートが拾っていくのは Stadhuis Aalst、Belfort Aalst、St Martin's Church です。あいだの区間もすべて事件の一部なので、謎解きの本ではなく街歩きとして成立します。

アールストのどこを歩くことになるのか

事件は 'T Gasthuys - Stedelijk Museum Aalst にも立ち寄ります。景色として置かれているのではなく、そこに必要なものがあるからです。

アールストのマダミスはこう動きます

歩くうちに、事件は断片で届きます。地点ではデジタルの登場人物が待っていて、それぞれが真相の一部と、課題を一つ持っています。謎、暗号、写真。解いたぶんだけ容疑者リストから名前が消えます。目安は3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間ですが、誰も時間を計っていません。途中で一時間座り込んでも、事件のほうが待っています。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件でおなじみのものです。ほかの人が通り過ぎるところで立ち止まり、そこに何があるのかを回りくどくなく言うだけです。

アールストを子連れで、友人と、チームで

友人と。4人で1台を共有し、たいていは4通りの推理も共有します。子ども向けのスタンプラリーではなく、大人が二時間楽しめるミステリーゲームなので、まだ打ち解けていないグループでも事件のほうが会話をつくってくれます。デートにも女子会の延長にも向きます。

子連れで。八歳くらいから遊べます。3〜4キロは障害になりません。写真ミッションでは子どものほうが大人より速く、アールストでは中高生まで参加する数少ない体験のひとつです。

チームで。チームビルディングゲームとして、ガイドも会場も決まった開始時刻も要りません。二つ三つのグループに同じ事件を解かせて結果を比べてください。社員旅行なら、着いた人から順に始められます。

アールストのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。アールストのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

多くのグループで1.5〜2時間、徒歩で3〜4キロほどです。制限時間はありません。こちらが止まればゲームも止まるので、途中で食事に入り、そのあと続きから再開できます。

チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？

4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？

予約で決めるのは日にちだけ、時刻はお任せです。アールストにはそのための集合場所もガイドも、参加すべき団体もありません。

子どもでも楽しめますか？

八歳くらいから遊べます。3〜4キロは子どもでも問題なく歩けますし、写真ミッションではたいてい子どもがいちばん速く、暗号は家族で一緒に解く部分になります。

雨が降ったらどうなりますか？

遊ぶ時間も止める時間もこちらで決められます。建物に入って通り過ぎるのを待ち、中断したところから事件を再開してください。進行状況は保存され、動いている時計もありません。

これは推理ゲームですか、それともアールストの街歩きですか？

よい散策ルートと同じようにアールストを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

    I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way.     This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
