スプリトが殺人事件を抱えています。被害者はバルサザール。誰が殺したのかを突き止めるのが、この日の午後の予定になります。
遊ぶのはご自分のスマートフォン、進む速さもご自分次第、そして事件現場はスプリトです。テーブルの上ではなく実際の通りで進むマダミス。手がかり、デジタルの証人、破るべき暗号、そして最後に名前を挙げる犯人。推理ゲームとして必要なものは揃っていて、ないのはガイドと開始時刻と団体だけです。
事件のルートは Diocletian's Palace、Saint Domnius Cathedral、Jupiter's Temple をたどります。移動はすべて徒歩で、地点と地点のあいだも事件は動きつづけます。歩く時間そのものがゲームで、面白い場面のあいだの空白ではありません。
事件がスプリトのどこへ連れていくのか
ルートの後半に残っているのが Golden Gate です。そこへ着く頃には、容疑者のリストは細部がすべて効いてくるくらいまで短くなっています。
スプリトでの捜査はこう進みます
道中で物語が少しずつ姿を見せます。地点と地点のあいだにいるデジタルの登場人物はそれぞれ何かを知っていますが、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを解かないと話してくれません。正解のたびに容疑者が一人消えます。通常は3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間、時計は動いていないので途中で食事に出ても何も失いません。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件簿にあるとおりで、まず誰よりもよく見て、それから見たものを飾らずに言う、という順番です。
スプリトでの家族・友人・チームの遊び方
子連れで。謎は八歳くらいから自分で読めます。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけるのが得意で、暗号は結局みんなで解くことになります。美術館と教会が続いて飽きてしまったときの、スプリト観光の逃げ道としても使えます。
友人と。チケット1枚でスマートフォン1台、4名まで遊べるので、順番待ちで立っている人が出ません。容疑者リストをめぐって言い合うところまでが中身です。
チームで。スプリトで複数のグループを同じ事件に送り出し、どこが先に着いたかをあとで比べてください。進行役も、押さえる会場も、全員を縛る開始時刻も要りません。だから懇親会や社員旅行の一コマとして成立します。

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。スプリトのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。動いている時計も締め切りの時刻もないので、ペースはこちらで決め、休みたいところで休めます。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
予約のときに選ぶのは日付だけで、その日の好きな時間に始められます。スプリトに集合場所はなく、ガイドも、合流すべき団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
八歳くらいから遊べます。3〜4キロは子どもでも問題なく歩けますし、写真ミッションではたいてい子どもがいちばん速く、暗号は家族で一緒に解く部分になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
待てば済む程度のことです。カフェに入ってにわか雨をやり過ごし、止めたところから続けてください。進行状況は保存されていますし、失うような制限時間もありません。
これは推理ゲームですか、それともスプリトの街歩きですか？
よい散策ルートと同じようにスプリトを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
