バルサザールは死にました。手がかりはザグレブの街を通っていて、そこをたどる人はほかにいません。
持ち歩ける事件記録です。事件はスマートフォンに届き、現場はザグレブが用意し、どれだけ速く進むかはあなたが決めます。手がかりを集め、デジタルの登場人物を問い詰め、暗号を破り、犯人を挙げてください。ゲームマスターも集合場所も拘束される団体もないマダミスであり、そのまま街歩き謎解きとしても成立します。
Lotrščak Tower、Cathedral of Zagreb、Museum of Broken Relationships の前を通ります。どれも遠回りではありません。それぞれが事件の中で役目を持っていて、いちばん頭を使うのはむしろ地点と地点のあいだの道のりです。
事件がザグレブのどこへ連れていくのか
ルートの後半に残っているのが Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb です。そこへ着く頃には、容疑者のリストは細部がすべて効いてくるくらいまで短くなっています。
ザグレブのマダミスはこう動きます
道中で物語が少しずつ姿を見せます。地点と地点のあいだにいるデジタルの登場人物はそれぞれ何かを知っていますが、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを解かないと話してくれません。正解のたびに容疑者が一人消えます。通常は3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間、時計は動いていないので途中で食事に出ても何も失いません。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件簿にあるとおりで、まず誰よりもよく見て、それから見たものを飾らずに言う、という順番です。
ザグレブを子連れで、友人と、チームで
友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4名まで、順番待ちは発生しません。2人で過ごす午後にも、予定がまとまらない大人数にも、同じように使えます。
チームで。4名につき1枚チケットを買い、ザグレブで各グループを同じ事件に送り出して、あとで比べてください。ガイドも会場費も決まった時刻も不要なので、参加者が三々五々集まる懇親会の前後にも差し込めます。
子連れで。八歳くらいから。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけますし、暗号は最後には家族全員で解くことになります。

ザグレブのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？
Loquiz という謎解きアプリをスマートフォンに入れ、ザグレブのスタート地点まで歩いて、そこから始めます。地点から地点へ移動するうちに物語が開いていきます。デジタルの登場人物が手がかりを渡し、それぞれの地点には謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションが待っています。すべて解き終えると、バルサザールを殺した犯人を指名できます。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。動いている時計も締め切りの時刻もないので、ペースはこちらで決め、休みたいところで休めます。
チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？
1枚で1〜4名、スマートフォン1台で遊べます。合計19.95ユーロです。5名以上のグループは2枚目を買ってください。チーム対抗で競えるようにもなります。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
予約のときに選ぶのは日付だけで、その日の好きな時間に始められます。ザグレブに集合場所はなく、ガイドも、合流すべき団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
はい、八歳前後から遊べます。謎は解ける難度で、歩く距離が子どもにこたえることはありません。経験上、決め手になる細部に最初に気づくのはいちばん年下の参加者です。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
遊びたいときに遊び、止めたいときに止められます。軒下に入り、待って、また進めてください。すべて保存されていて、時計も動いていないので失うものはありません。
これは推理ゲームですか、それともザグレブの街歩きですか？
大事な意味では両方です。よくできた散策ルートと同じところを歩きますし、道すがら街のことも入ってきます。ただし、聞かせてもらうためではなく、何かを解くために歩いています。前を歩いて旗を持つ人はいません。

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
