事件のルートは Abdulmoneim Riadh Mosque、Misr Public Library、St. Shenouda Church をたどります。移動はすべて徒歩で、地点と地点のあいだも事件は動きつづけます。歩く時間そのものがゲームで、面白い場面のあいだの空白ではありません。
フルガダのどこを歩くことになるのか
後半で効いてくるのは、いま立っている場所よりも、すでに見てきたものです。二つの証言が噛み合わなくなり、どちらが嘘なのかを詰める作業が午後の残りを占めます。
フルガダでの推理ゲームの進み方
道中で物語が少しずつ姿を見せます。地点と地点のあいだにいるデジタルの登場人物はそれぞれ何かを知っていますが、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを解かないと話してくれません。正解のたびに容疑者が一人消えます。通常は3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間、時計は動いていないので途中で食事に出ても何も失いません。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件簿にあるとおりで、まず誰よりもよく見て、それから見たものを飾らずに言う、という順番です。
フルガダを子連れで、友人と、チームで
チームで。フルガダで二つか三つのグループを同じ事件に送り、どのチームが先に犯人を名指しするか見てください。予約するものも、手配する人も、進行表もありません。チームビルディングが実際の仕事の週に耐えるのはそのためです。
子連れで。八歳くらいから。全員が見落とした細部に最初に気づくのはたいてい子どもで、暗号はグループ全員で解く部分になります。
友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4人、それぞれ別の推理。面白さの大半はその言い合いのほうにあります。

フルガダのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？
Loquiz という謎解きアプリをスマートフォンに入れ、フルガダのスタート地点まで歩いて、そこから始めます。地点から地点へ移動するうちに物語が開いていきます。デジタルの登場人物が手がかりを渡し、それぞれの地点には謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションが待っています。すべて解き終えると、バルサザールを殺した犯人を指名できます。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
グループの多くは1.5〜2時間かけ、3〜4キロを歩きます。計測はしていないので、途中の長いコーヒー休憩に費用はかかりません。事件のほうが待っています。
チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？
チケット1枚、スマートフォン1台、1名から4名まで、全員合わせて19.95ユーロです。人数が多いときは2枚目を買って、二つのグループを競わせてください。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
予約のときに選ぶのは日付だけで、その日の好きな時間に始められます。フルガダに集合場所はなく、ガイドも、合流すべき団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
待てば済む程度のことです。カフェに入ってにわか雨をやり過ごし、止めたところから続けてください。進行状況は保存されていますし、失うような制限時間もありません。
これは推理ゲームですか、それともフルガダの街歩きですか？
道のりとしてはフルガダを一周する街歩き、中身としては殺人事件です。街は歩きながら入ってきますが、解説されるわけではありません。ここで探すのはあなたなので、そのぶん記憶にも残ります。

I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
