グルノーブルのどこかで、誰かがバルサザールを殺して立ち去りました。それが誰なのかを割り出すのがあなたの仕事です。
遊ぶのはご自分のスマートフォン、進む速さもご自分次第、そして事件現場はグルノーブルです。テーブルの上ではなく実際の通りで進むマダミス。手がかり、デジタルの証人、破るべき暗号、そして最後に名前を挙げる犯人。推理ゲームとして必要なものは揃っていて、ないのはガイドと開始時刻と団体だけです。
事件のルートは Fort de La Bastille à Grenoble、Place Grenette、Cathédrale Notre-Dame をたどります。移動はすべて徒歩で、地点と地点のあいだも事件は動きつづけます。歩く時間そのものがゲームで、面白い場面のあいだの空白ではありません。
事件がグルノーブルのどこへ連れていくのか
そのあとに来るのが Musée de Grenoble です。この頃には建物を証拠として眺めるようになっていて、その癖はあとから簡単には抜けません。

歩いていると、物語のほうから近づいてきます。地点と地点のあいだでデジタルの登場人物に出会い、その一人ひとりが事件の一部だけを知っていて、それぞれが謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションを残していきます。正解するたびに容疑者のリストが短くなります。多くのグループは3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間で歩きますが、時計は動いていません。コーヒー休憩を挟んで、気が向いたら事件に戻ってください。シャーロックホームズを読んだ方なら手法はご存じのはずです。誰よりもよく見て、見えたものをそのまま言葉にする。それだけです。
グルノーブルでの家族・友人・チームの遊び方
友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4名まで、順番待ちは発生しません。2人で過ごす午後にも、予定がまとまらない大人数にも、同じように使えます。
チームで。4名につき1枚チケットを買い、グルノーブルで各グループを同じ事件に送り出して、あとで比べてください。ガイドも会場費も決まった時刻も不要なので、参加者が三々五々集まる懇親会の前後にも差し込めます。
子連れで。八歳くらいから。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけますし、暗号は最後には家族全員で解くことになります。

グルノーブルのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？
Loquiz アプリをダウンロードし、グルノーブルの最初の地点まで行って、準備ができたら始めてください。そこから先は事件があなたと一緒に動きます。登場人物が情報を持って現れ、各地点が謎か暗号か写真の課題を出し、最後の答えが犯人になります。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。動いている時計も締め切りの時刻もないので、ペースはこちらで決め、休みたいところで休めます。
チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？
4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
予約で決めるのは日にちだけ、時刻はお任せです。グルノーブルにはそのための集合場所もガイドも、参加すべき団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
八歳くらいから遊べます。3〜4キロは子どもでも問題なく歩けますし、写真ミッションではたいてい子どもがいちばん速く、暗号は家族で一緒に解く部分になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
待てば済む程度のことです。カフェに入ってにわか雨をやり過ごし、止めたところから続けてください。進行状況は保存されていますし、失うような制限時間もありません。

道のりとしてはグルノーブルを一周する街歩き、中身としては殺人事件です。街は歩きながら入ってきますが、解説されるわけではありません。ここで探すのはあなたなので、そのぶん記憶にも残ります。

I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
