バルサザール事件は未解決、オルレアンの通りそのものが証拠、そしてそれを読むのはあなたです。
持ち歩ける事件記録です。事件はスマートフォンに届き、現場はオルレアンが用意し、どれだけ速く進むかはあなたが決めます。手がかりを集め、デジタルの登場人物を問い詰め、暗号を破り、犯人を挙げてください。ゲームマスターも集合場所も拘束される団体もないマダミスであり、そのまま街歩き謎解きとしても成立します。
事件のルートは Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Orléans、Place du Martroi、Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d'Orléans をたどります。移動はすべて徒歩で、地点と地点のあいだも事件は動きつづけます。歩く時間そのものがゲームで、面白い場面のあいだの空白ではありません。
オルレアンのルートに何があるか
ルートの後半に残っているのが Musée Historique et Archéologique de l'Orléanais です。そこへ着く頃には、容疑者のリストは細部がすべて効いてくるくらいまで短くなっています。
オルレアンのマダミスはこう動きます
歩くうちに、事件は断片で届きます。地点ではデジタルの登場人物が待っていて、それぞれが真相の一部と、課題を一つ持っています。謎、暗号、写真。解いたぶんだけ容疑者リストから名前が消えます。目安は3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間ですが、誰も時間を計っていません。途中で一時間座り込んでも、事件のほうが待っています。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件でおなじみのものです。ほかの人が通り過ぎるところで立ち止まり、そこに何があるのかを回りくどくなく言うだけです。
オルレアンを子連れで、友人と、チームで
友人と。4人で1台を共有し、たいていは4通りの推理も共有します。子ども向けのスタンプラリーではなく、大人が二時間楽しめるミステリーゲームなので、まだ打ち解けていないグループでも事件のほうが会話をつくってくれます。デートにも女子会の延長にも向きます。
子連れで。八歳くらいから遊べます。3〜4キロは障害になりません。写真ミッションでは子どものほうが大人より速く、オルレアンでは中高生まで参加する数少ない体験のひとつです。
チームで。チームビルディングゲームとして、ガイドも会場も決まった開始時刻も要りません。二つ三つのグループに同じ事件を解かせて結果を比べてください。社員旅行なら、着いた人から順に始められます。

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。オルレアンのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。動いている時計も締め切りの時刻もないので、ペースはこちらで決め、休みたいところで休めます。

4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
日付だけです。実際に何時に始めるかはご自分で決められますし、オルレアンのどこにも待っている人はいません。集合場所も、ガイドも、団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
遊びたいときに遊び、止めたいときに止められます。軒下に入り、待って、また進めてください。すべて保存されていて、時計も動いていないので失うものはありません。
これは推理ゲームですか、それともオルレアンの街歩きですか？
よい散策ルートと同じようにオルレアンを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
