ヌークが殺人事件を抱えています。被害者はバルサザール。誰が殺したのかを突き止めるのが、この日の午後の予定になります。
これは、ご自分のスマートフォンで、好きなペースで進めるマダミスです。事件現場になるのはヌークの街そのもの。手がかりをたどり、デジタルの登場人物に話を聞き、暗号を解いて、犯人を指し示してください。屋外で遊ぶ推理ゲームなので、ガイドも、決まった開始時刻も、ついていくべき団体もありません。
すべて徒歩で、歩いているあいだも物語は止まりません。マダミスを卓の上ではなく街でやる理由は、まさにそこにあります。
ヌークのルートに何があるか
終盤には、街を見る回数と同じくらい自分のメモを見返すことになります。はじめは背景にしか見えなかった二つ三つが、最後の判断を決めます。
ヌークでの捜査はこう進みます
こちらが歩き、事件のほうが向かってきます。地点のあいだにデジタルの登場人物が現れ、それぞれが物語の断片を一つと、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを一つ置いていきます。正解はリストから名前を消します。全体で3〜4キロ、1.5〜2時間ほど。時計は回っていないので、長いコーヒー休憩を取っても損はしません。手法はシャーロックホームズでおなじみのものです。きちんと見て、いま見たものを声に出す。
ヌークで誰と遊ぶか
子連れで。八歳くらいから遊べますし、写真ミッションでは子どもが毎回いちばん速く動きます。ヌークを子連れで一日過ごすときの利点は、道中誰も黙って解説を聞かなくていいところです。
チームで。チームビルディングとして、進行役の費用も会場費もかかりません。4名ずつのグループに同じ事件を解かせて所要時間を比べてください。社内イベントや社員旅行なら、日付を決めるだけで足ります。
友人と。2人でも6人でも同じように成立し、増えるのは犯人をめぐる議論だけです。バチェラーパーティーの初日に置くなら、朝から遊べるところも利点になります。

ヌークのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？
Loquiz という謎解きアプリをスマートフォンに入れ、ヌークのスタート地点まで歩いて、そこから始めます。地点から地点へ移動するうちに物語が開いていきます。デジタルの登場人物が手がかりを渡し、それぞれの地点には謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションが待っています。すべて解き終えると、バルサザールを殺した犯人を指名できます。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
グループの多くは1.5〜2時間かけ、3〜4キロを歩きます。計測はしていないので、途中の長いコーヒー休憩に費用はかかりません。事件のほうが待っています。

チケット1枚、スマートフォン1台、1名から4名まで、全員合わせて19.95ユーロです。人数が多いときは2枚目を買って、二つのグループを競わせてください。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
予約のときに選ぶのは日付だけで、その日の好きな時間に始められます。ヌークに集合場所はなく、ガイドも、合流すべき団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
遊ぶ時間も止める時間もこちらで決められます。建物に入って通り過ぎるのを待ち、中断したところから事件を再開してください。進行状況は保存され、動いている時計もありません。

道のりとしてはヌークを一周する街歩き、中身としては殺人事件です。街は歩きながら入ってきますが、解説されるわけではありません。ここで探すのはあなたなので、そのぶん記憶にも残ります。

I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
