バルサザール事件は未解決、ブリンディジの通りそのものが証拠、そしてそれを読むのはあなたです。

持ち歩ける事件記録です。事件はスマートフォンに届き、現場はブリンディジが用意し、どれだけ速く進むかはあなたが決めます。手がかりを集め、デジタルの登場人物を問い詰め、暗号を破り、犯人を挙げてください。ゲームマスターも集合場所も拘束される団体もないマダミスであり、そのまま街歩き謎解きとしても成立します。

Colonne Romane、Tempio di San Giovanni al Sepolcro、Church of Saint Theresa の前を通ります。どれも遠回りではありません。それぞれが事件の中で役目を持っていて、いちばん頭を使うのはむしろ地点と地点のあいだの道のりです。

事件がブリンディジのどこへ連れていくのか

ルートの後半には Monument to Virgil が入ります。ここまで丁寧に記録してきたなら、そこではすでに見当がついていることを確かめるだけで済みます。

ブリンディジでの捜査はこう進みます

こちらが歩き、事件のほうが向かってきます。地点のあいだにデジタルの登場人物が現れ、それぞれが物語の断片を一つと、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを一つ置いていきます。正解はリストから名前を消します。全体で3〜4キロ、1.5〜2時間ほど。時計は回っていないので、長いコーヒー休憩を取っても損はしません。手法はシャーロックホームズでおなじみのものです。きちんと見て、いま見たものを声に出す。

ブリンディジを子連れで、友人と、チームで

子連れで。謎は八歳くらいから自分で読めます。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけるのが得意で、暗号は結局みんなで解くことになります。美術館と教会が続いて飽きてしまったときの、ブリンディジ観光の逃げ道としても使えます。

友人と。チケット1枚でスマートフォン1台、4名まで遊べるので、順番待ちで立っている人が出ません。容疑者リストをめぐって言い合うところまでが中身です。

チームで。ブリンディジで複数のグループを同じ事件に送り出し、どこが先に着いたかをあとで比べてください。進行役も、押さえる会場も、全員を縛る開始時刻も要りません。だから懇親会や社員旅行の一コマとして成立します。

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。ブリンディジのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

多くのグループで1.5〜2時間、徒歩で3〜4キロほどです。制限時間はありません。こちらが止まればゲームも止まるので、途中で食事に入り、そのあと続きから再開できます。

チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？

4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？

日付だけです。実際に何時に始めるかはご自分で決められますし、ブリンディジのどこにも待っている人はいません。集合場所も、ガイドも、団体もありません。

子どもでも楽しめますか？

おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。

雨が降ったらどうなりますか？

待てば済む程度のことです。カフェに入ってにわか雨をやり過ごし、止めたところから続けてください。進行状況は保存されていますし、失うような制限時間もありません。

    This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
