ヴェローナでバルサザールが殺されました。この事件を解くのは、あなたです。

ご自分のスマートフォンで動き、ヴェローナの街をそのまま盤面に使う推理ゲームです。手がかりを集め、デジタルの登場人物に質問し、暗号を破り、最後に犯人の名前を挙げます。つまり卓を囲まずに街へ持ち出したマダミスで、案内する人も、間に合わせる集合時刻も、一緒に動く団体もありません。

ルート上にあるのは Arena di Verona、Casa di Giulietta、Torre dei Lamberti です。地点で起きることと同じくらい、地点と地点のあいだで起きることが効いてきます。道すがら、扉や年号や細部をずっと読むことになります。

ヴェローナのルートに何があるか

ルートの後半には Piazza Erbe が入ります。ここまで丁寧に記録してきたなら、そこではすでに見当がついていることを確かめるだけで済みます。

ヴェローナでの捜査はこう進みます

物語のほうが道中であなたを見つけます。それぞれの地点で、デジタルの登場人物が起きたことの一部を知っていて、去る前に謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションを残していきます。正解するほどリストは短くなります。3〜4キロ、1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。ただし計測はしていないので、途中で食事に入ってから戻っても構いません。シャーロックホームズを読んだ人はもう手法を知っています。全員が通り過ぎるものに気づき、それが何を意味するのかを言う、それだけです。

ヴェローナでの家族・友人・チームの遊び方

友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4名まで、順番待ちは発生しません。2人で過ごす午後にも、予定がまとまらない大人数にも、同じように使えます。

チームで。4名につき1枚チケットを買い、ヴェローナで各グループを同じ事件に送り出して、あとで比べてください。ガイドも会場費も決まった時刻も不要なので、参加者が三々五々集まる懇親会の前後にも差し込めます。

子連れで。八歳くらいから。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけますし、暗号は最後には家族全員で解くことになります。

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。ヴェローナのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。

遊ぶ時間も止める時間もこちらで決められます。建物に入って通り過ぎるのを待ち、中断したところから事件を再開してください。進行状況は保存され、動いている時計もありません。

道のりとしてはヴェローナを一周する街歩き、中身としては殺人事件です。街は歩きながら入ってきますが、解説されるわけではありません。ここで探すのはあなたなので、そのぶん記憶にも残ります。

    I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way.     This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
