ブカレストに遺体がひとつ。名前はバルサザール。あなたが動くまで、この事件を追う人は誰もいません。
ご自分のスマートフォンで動き、ブカレストの街をそのまま盤面に使う推理ゲームです。手がかりを集め、デジタルの登場人物に質問し、暗号を破り、最後に犯人の名前を挙げます。つまり卓を囲まずに街へ持ち出したマダミスで、案内する人も、間に合わせる集合時刻も、一緒に動く団体もありません。
事件のルートは Saint Joseph's Catholic Cathedral、Monument of Iuliu Maniu、"Theodor Aman" Museum をたどります。移動はすべて徒歩で、地点と地点のあいだも事件は動きつづけます。歩く時間そのものがゲームで、面白い場面のあいだの空白ではありません。
事件がブカレストのどこへ連れていくのか
そのあとに来るのが Equestrian Statue of Carol I です。この頃には建物を証拠として眺めるようになっていて、その癖はあとから簡単には抜けません。

道中で物語が少しずつ姿を見せます。地点と地点のあいだにいるデジタルの登場人物はそれぞれ何かを知っていますが、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを解かないと話してくれません。正解のたびに容疑者が一人消えます。通常は3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間、時計は動いていないので途中で食事に出ても何も失いません。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件簿にあるとおりで、まず誰よりもよく見て、それから見たものを飾らずに言う、という順番です。

子連れで。謎は八歳くらいから自分で読めます。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけるのが得意で、暗号は結局みんなで解くことになります。美術館と教会が続いて飽きてしまったときの、ブカレスト観光の逃げ道としても使えます。

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
