事件の最初の住所は Parque Güell、Basílica de la Sagrada Família、Magic Fountain of Montjuïc です。順に回っていきますが、二つの地点のあいだで気づいたことのほうが、地点に書かれていることより効いてくる場面もあります。

事件は Casa Batlló、Montjuïc Castle にも立ち寄ります。景色として置かれているのではなく、そこに必要なものがあるからです。

バルセロナでの推理ゲームの進み方

道中で物語が少しずつ姿を見せます。地点と地点のあいだにいるデジタルの登場人物はそれぞれ何かを知っていますが、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを解かないと話してくれません。正解のたびに容疑者が一人消えます。通常は3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間、時計は動いていないので途中で食事に出ても何も失いません。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件簿にあるとおりで、まず誰よりもよく見て、それから見たものを飾らずに言う、という順番です。

チームで。バルセロナで二つか三つのグループを同じ事件に送り、どのチームが先に犯人を名指しするか見てください。予約するものも、手配する人も、進行表もありません。チームビルディングが実際の仕事の週に耐えるのはそのためです。

子連れで。八歳くらいから。全員が見落とした細部に最初に気づくのはたいてい子どもで、暗号はグループ全員で解く部分になります。

友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4人、それぞれ別の推理。面白さの大半はその言い合いのほうにあります。

バルセロナのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？

Loquiz という謎解きアプリをスマートフォンに入れ、バルセロナのスタート地点まで歩いて、そこから始めます。地点から地点へ移動するうちに物語が開いていきます。デジタルの登場人物が手がかりを渡し、それぞれの地点には謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションが待っています。すべて解き終えると、バルサザールを殺した犯人を指名できます。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

多くのグループで1.5〜2時間、徒歩で3〜4キロほどです。制限時間はありません。こちらが止まればゲームも止まるので、途中で食事に入り、そのあと続きから再開できます。

チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？

4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？

予約で決めるのは日にちだけ、時刻はお任せです。バルセロナにはそのための集合場所もガイドも、参加すべき団体もありません。

子どもでも楽しめますか？

おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。

雨が降ったらどうなりますか？

遊びたいときに遊び、止めたいときに止められます。軒下に入り、待って、また進めてください。すべて保存されていて、時計も動いていないので失うものはありません。

これは推理ゲームですか、それともバルセロナの街歩きですか？

よい散策ルートと同じようにバルセロナを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

    This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
