ご自分のスマートフォンで動き、シウタデリャの街をそのまま盤面に使う推理ゲームです。手がかりを集め、デジタルの登場人物に質問し、暗号を破り、最後に犯人の名前を挙げます。つまり卓を囲まずに街へ持ち出したマダミスで、案内する人も、間に合わせる集合時刻も、一緒に動く団体もありません。
Castell de Sant Nicolau、Cathedral Basilica of Ciutadella de Menorca の前を通ります。どれも遠回りではありません。それぞれが事件の中で役目を持っていて、いちばん頭を使うのはむしろ地点と地点のあいだの道のりです。
シウタデリャのどこを歩くことになるのか
進むほどに事件は絞られていきます。容疑者の名前は減り、問いは具体的になり、最後の答えは序盤に通り過ぎた小さな一点にかかってきます。
シウタデリャでの推理ゲームの進み方
こちらが歩き、事件のほうが向かってきます。地点のあいだにデジタルの登場人物が現れ、それぞれが物語の断片を一つと、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを一つ置いていきます。正解はリストから名前を消します。全体で3〜4キロ、1.5〜2時間ほど。時計は回っていないので、長いコーヒー休憩を取っても損はしません。手法はシャーロックホームズでおなじみのものです。きちんと見て、いま見たものを声に出す。
シウタデリャで誰と遊ぶか
友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4名まで、順番待ちは発生しません。2人で過ごす午後にも、予定がまとまらない大人数にも、同じように使えます。
チームで。4名につき1枚チケットを買い、シウタデリャで各グループを同じ事件に送り出して、あとで比べてください。ガイドも会場費も決まった時刻も不要なので、参加者が三々五々集まる懇親会の前後にも差し込めます。
子連れで。八歳くらいから。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけますし、暗号は最後には家族全員で解くことになります。

シウタデリャのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？
ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。シウタデリャのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
グループの多くは1.5〜2時間かけ、3〜4キロを歩きます。計測はしていないので、途中の長いコーヒー休憩に費用はかかりません。事件のほうが待っています。
チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？
4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
予約のときに選ぶのは日付だけで、その日の好きな時間に始められます。シウタデリャに集合場所はなく、ガイドも、合流すべき団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
遊ぶ時間も止める時間もこちらで決められます。建物に入って通り過ぎるのを待ち、中断したところから事件を再開してください。進行状況は保存され、動いている時計もありません。
これは推理ゲームですか、それともシウタデリャの街歩きですか？
よい散策ルートと同じようにシウタデリャを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
