Track a detective murder mystery on foot through Colombo, from the DS Senanayake Monument to Independence Square and Viharamahadevi Park.
コロンボが殺人事件を抱えています。被害者はバルサザール。誰が殺したのかを突き止めるのが、この日の午後の予定になります。
手元にあるのは、自分たちだけで進める推理ゲームです。スマートフォンと、自分のペースと、事件現場としてのコロンボ。デジタルの登場人物に話を聞き、手がかりを並べ、暗号を破り、犯人を名指ししてください。マダミスの中でも、司会も進行表も他人の予定も必要としないタイプです。
ルートが拾っていくのは Colombo National Museum、Gangaramaya Temple、Independence Square です。あいだの区間もすべて事件の一部なので、謎解きの本ではなく街歩きとして成立します。
事件がコロンボのどこへ連れていくのか
事件は Viharamahadevi Park にも立ち寄ります。景色として置かれているのではなく、そこに必要なものがあるからです。
コロンボでの捜査はこう進みます
物語のほうが道中であなたを見つけます。それぞれの地点で、デジタルの登場人物が起きたことの一部を知っていて、去る前に謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションを残していきます。正解するほどリストは短くなります。3〜4キロ、1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。ただし計測はしていないので、途中で食事に入ってから戻っても構いません。シャーロックホームズを読んだ人はもう手法を知っています。全員が通り過ぎるものに気づき、それが何を意味するのかを言う、それだけです。
コロンボを子連れで、友人と、チームで
子連れで。謎は八歳くらいから自分で読めます。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけるのが得意で、暗号は結局みんなで解くことになります。美術館と教会が続いて飽きてしまったときの、コロンボ観光の逃げ道としても使えます。
友人と。チケット1枚でスマートフォン1台、4名まで遊べるので、順番待ちで立っている人が出ません。容疑者リストをめぐって言い合うところまでが中身です。
チームで。コロンボで複数のグループを同じ事件に送り出し、どこが先に着いたかをあとで比べてください。進行役も、押さえる会場も、全員を縛る開始時刻も要りません。だから懇親会や社員旅行の一コマとして成立します。

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。コロンボのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。
所要時間はどのくらいですか？
3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。動いている時計も締め切りの時刻もないので、ペースはこちらで決め、休みたいところで休めます。
チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？
チケット1枚、スマートフォン1台、1名から4名まで、全員合わせて19.95ユーロです。人数が多いときは2枚目を買って、二つのグループを競わせてください。
時間帯の予約は必要ですか？
日付だけです。実際に何時に始めるかはご自分で決められますし、コロンボのどこにも待っている人はいません。集合場所も、ガイドも、団体もありません。
子どもでも楽しめますか？
八歳くらいから遊べます。3〜4キロは子どもでも問題なく歩けますし、写真ミッションではたいてい子どもがいちばん速く、暗号は家族で一緒に解く部分になります。
雨が降ったらどうなりますか？
遊ぶ時間も止める時間もこちらで決められます。建物に入って通り過ぎるのを待ち、中断したところから事件を再開してください。進行状況は保存され、動いている時計もありません。
これは推理ゲームですか、それともコロンボの街歩きですか？
大事な意味では両方です。よくできた散策ルートと同じところを歩きますし、道すがら街のことも入ってきます。ただし、聞かせてもらうためではなく、何かを解くために歩いています。前を歩いて旗を持つ人はいません。

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
