Follow a detective murder case on foot through central Malmö, from Stortorget past Sankt Petri kyrka to Kungsparken, at your own pace.

マルメに遺体がひとつ。名前はバルサザール。あなたが動くまで、この事件を追う人は誰もいません。

遊ぶのはご自分のスマートフォン、進む速さもご自分次第、そして事件現場はマルメです。テーブルの上ではなく実際の通りで進むマダミス。手がかり、デジタルの証人、破るべき暗号、そして最後に名前を挙げる犯人。推理ゲームとして必要なものは揃っていて、ないのはガイドと開始時刻と団体だけです。

ルートが拾っていくのは Kungsparken、Malmö Town Hall です。あいだの区間もすべて事件の一部なので、謎解きの本ではなく街歩きとして成立します。

事件がマルメのどこへ連れていくのか

進むほどに事件は絞られていきます。容疑者の名前は減り、問いは具体的になり、最後の答えは序盤に通り過ぎた小さな一点にかかってきます。

マルメのマダミスはこう動きます

歩くうちに、事件は断片で届きます。地点ではデジタルの登場人物が待っていて、それぞれが真相の一部と、課題を一つ持っています。謎、暗号、写真。解いたぶんだけ容疑者リストから名前が消えます。目安は3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間ですが、誰も時間を計っていません。途中で一時間座り込んでも、事件のほうが待っています。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件でおなじみのものです。ほかの人が通り過ぎるところで立ち止まり、そこに何があるのかを回りくどくなく言うだけです。

マルメを子連れで、友人と、チームで

子連れで。謎は八歳くらいから自分で読めます。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけるのが得意で、暗号は結局みんなで解くことになります。美術館と教会が続いて飽きてしまったときの、マルメ観光の逃げ道としても使えます。

友人と。チケット1枚でスマートフォン1台、4名まで遊べるので、順番待ちで立っている人が出ません。容疑者リストをめぐって言い合うところまでが中身です。

チームで。マルメで複数のグループを同じ事件に送り出し、どこが先に着いたかをあとで比べてください。進行役も、押さえる会場も、全員を縛る開始時刻も要りません。だから懇親会や社員旅行の一コマとして成立します。

マルメのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？

Loquiz という謎解きアプリをスマートフォンに入れ、マルメのスタート地点まで歩いて、そこから始めます。地点から地点へ移動するうちに物語が開いていきます。デジタルの登場人物が手がかりを渡し、それぞれの地点には謎か、暗号か、写真ミッションが待っています。すべて解き終えると、バルサザールを殺した犯人を指名できます。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

グループの多くは1.5〜2時間かけ、3〜4キロを歩きます。計測はしていないので、途中の長いコーヒー休憩に費用はかかりません。事件のほうが待っています。

チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？

1枚で1〜4名、スマートフォン1台で遊べます。合計19.95ユーロです。5名以上のグループは2枚目を買ってください。チーム対抗で競えるようにもなります。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？

日付だけです。実際に何時に始めるかはご自分で決められますし、マルメのどこにも待っている人はいません。集合場所も、ガイドも、団体もありません。

子どもでも楽しめますか？

おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。

雨が降ったらどうなりますか？

遊びたいときに遊び、止めたいときに止められます。軒下に入り、待って、また進めてください。すべて保存されていて、時計も動いていないので失うものはありません。

これは推理ゲームですか、それともマルメの街歩きですか？

よい散策ルートと同じようにマルメを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

    This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
