アムステルダムでバルサザールが殺されました。この事件を解くのは、あなたです。

遊ぶのはご自分のスマートフォン、進む速さもご自分次第、そして事件現場はアムステルダムです。テーブルの上ではなく実際の通りで進むマダミス。手がかり、デジタルの証人、破るべき暗号、そして最後に名前を挙げる犯人。推理ゲームとして必要なものは揃っていて、ないのはガイドと開始時刻と団体だけです。

事件の最初の住所は Van Gogh Museum、Royal Palace Amsterdam、Rembrandt House Museum です。順に回っていきますが、二つの地点のあいだで気づいたことのほうが、地点に書かれていることより効いてくる場面もあります。

アムステルダムのルートに何があるか

ルートの後半には Skinny Bridge、Flower Market が入ります。ここまで丁寧に記録してきたなら、そこではすでに見当がついていることを確かめるだけで済みます。

アムステルダムでの捜査はこう進みます

歩くうちに、事件は断片で届きます。地点ではデジタルの登場人物が待っていて、それぞれが真相の一部と、課題を一つ持っています。謎、暗号、写真。解いたぶんだけ容疑者リストから名前が消えます。目安は3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間ですが、誰も時間を計っていません。途中で一時間座り込んでも、事件のほうが待っています。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件でおなじみのものです。ほかの人が通り過ぎるところで立ち止まり、そこに何があるのかを回りくどくなく言うだけです。

アムステルダムでの家族・友人・チームの遊び方

友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4名まで、順番待ちは発生しません。2人で過ごす午後にも、予定がまとまらない大人数にも、同じように使えます。

チームで。4名につき1枚チケットを買い、アムステルダムで各グループを同じ事件に送り出して、あとで比べてください。ガイドも会場費も決まった時刻も不要なので、参加者が三々五々集まる懇親会の前後にも差し込めます。

子連れで。八歳くらいから。子どもは大人が通り過ぎた壁の細部を見つけますし、暗号は最後には家族全員で解くことになります。

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。アムステルダムのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

3〜4キロで1.5〜2時間を見ておいてください。動いている時計も締め切りの時刻もないので、ペースはこちらで決め、休みたいところで休めます。

チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？

4名までが1台のスマートフォンと19.95ユーロのチケット1枚を共有します。4名を超えるならもう1枚。同じ事件に2チームというのは、そもそも遊び方としてこちらのほうが面白くなります。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？

日付だけです。実際に何時に始めるかはご自分で決められますし、アムステルダムのどこにも待っている人はいません。集合場所も、ガイドも、団体もありません。

子どもでも楽しめますか？

はい、八歳前後から遊べます。謎は解ける難度で、歩く距離が子どもにこたえることはありません。経験上、決め手になる細部に最初に気づくのはいちばん年下の参加者です。

雨が降ったらどうなりますか？

遊ぶ時間も止める時間もこちらで決められます。建物に入って通り過ぎるのを待ち、中断したところから事件を再開してください。進行状況は保存され、動いている時計もありません。

これは推理ゲームですか、それともアムステルダムの街歩きですか？

よい散策ルートと同じようにアムステルダムを歩かせてくれますし、歩きながら街を覚えます。違うのは、何かを探しているという点です。建物を見上げる理由としては、「見てください」と言われるよりこちらのほうが強く働きます。

    I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way.     This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
