Solve a detective murder mystery on foot through central Alkmaar, from Canadaplein past the Grote Sint-Laurenskerk to De Waag.

アルクマールに遺体がひとつ。名前はバルサザール。あなたが動くまで、この事件を追う人は誰もいません。

これは、ご自分のスマートフォンで、好きなペースで進めるマダミスです。事件現場になるのはアルクマールの街そのもの。手がかりをたどり、デジタルの登場人物に話を聞き、暗号を解いて、犯人を指し示してください。屋外で遊ぶ推理ゲームなので、ガイドも、決まった開始時刻も、ついていくべき団体もありません。

ルートが拾っていくのは Wildemanshofje、Grote Sint-Laurenskerk、De Molen van Piet です。あいだの区間もすべて事件の一部なので、謎解きの本ではなく街歩きとして成立します。

事件がアルクマールのどこへ連れていくのか

ルートの後半には Nationaal Biermuseum De Boom が入ります。ここまで丁寧に記録してきたなら、そこではすでに見当がついていることを確かめるだけで済みます。

アルクマールのマダミスはこう動きます

道中で物語が少しずつ姿を見せます。地点と地点のあいだにいるデジタルの登場人物はそれぞれ何かを知っていますが、謎か暗号か写真ミッションを解かないと話してくれません。正解のたびに容疑者が一人消えます。通常は3〜4キロを1.5〜2時間、時計は動いていないので途中で食事に出ても何も失いません。手法はシャーロックホームズの事件簿にあるとおりで、まず誰よりもよく見て、それから見たものを飾らずに言う、という順番です。

アルクマールで誰と遊ぶか

チームで。アルクマールで二つか三つのグループを同じ事件に送り、どのチームが先に犯人を名指しするか見てください。予約するものも、手配する人も、進行表もありません。チームビルディングが実際の仕事の週に耐えるのはそのためです。

子連れで。八歳くらいから。全員が見落とした細部に最初に気づくのはたいてい子どもで、暗号はグループ全員で解く部分になります。

友人と。1台のスマートフォンに4人、それぞれ別の推理。面白さの大半はその言い合いのほうにあります。

アルクマールのマダミスはどうやって遊ぶのですか？

ゲームは Loquiz アプリで動きます。アルクマールのスタート地点でアプリを開き、そこから進めていくだけです。デジタルの登場人物からの手がかり、各地点での謎・暗号・写真ミッション、そして最後にひとつの名前。

所要時間はどのくらいですか？

多くのグループで1.5〜2時間、徒歩で3〜4キロほどです。制限時間はありません。こちらが止まればゲームも止まるので、途中で食事に入り、そのあと続きから再開できます。

チケット1枚で何人まで遊べますか？

1枚で1〜4名、スマートフォン1台で遊べます。合計19.95ユーロです。5名以上のグループは2枚目を買ってください。チーム対抗で競えるようにもなります。

時間帯の予約は必要ですか？

予約で決めるのは日にちだけ、時刻はお任せです。アルクマールにはそのための集合場所もガイドも、参加すべき団体もありません。

子どもでも楽しめますか？

おおむね八歳から。距離は障害になりませんし、写真ミッションでは子どもが大人を追い抜きます。暗号は最後には家族の共同作業になります。

雨が降ったらどうなりますか？

遊びたいときに遊び、止めたいときに止められます。軒下に入り、待って、また進めてください。すべて保存されていて、時計も動いていないので失うものはありません。

これは推理ゲームですか、それともアルクマールの街歩きですか？

道のりとしてはアルクマールを一周する街歩き、中身としては殺人事件です。街は歩きながら入ってきますが、解説されるわけではありません。ここで探すのはあなたなので、そのぶん記憶にも残ります。

    This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

    This was a fun game! It had a few challenges which was good and surprises. It got me to go around and explore Queenstown, New Zealand. I got to places in Queenstown, New Zealand I hadn’t been to before while on holiday here. Thank you for that and it gave a feel what it would be like to be the actual Sherlock Holmes!
