Der Neue Zollhof
Der Neue Zollhof is a prominent landmark of Düsseldorf-Hafen, which is part of the renovated Düsseldorf harbor. The building complex consists of three separate buildings which were designed by the American architect Frank O. Gehry. All the planes and facades of the three buildings curve and tilt, which is why they are compared to leaning towers. The tallest building is 14 stories and just under 50 m high.
Benrath Palace
Due to its popularity, it does not suffer from a lack of visitors. Both Benrath Palace and the 61 hectare park are popular attractions in the south of Düsseldorf. The garden is equally popular amongst art and nature lovers. Fun fact, the park is home to more than 80 species of birds and over 300 species of beetles. Rare North American shrubs characterise the so-called Kurfürstengarten.

Haus der Japanischen Kultur
In 1993, a Japanese cultural center was opened: the EKŌ-Haus. This is located in the Niederkassel district of Düsseldorf. The EKŌ-Haus includes a Buddhist temple, Japanese gardens, a house in traditional architectural style with a tea room, an exhibition and conference room in the basement of the main building, two seminar rooms and a hall for larger events. Impressive, right?
Schlossturm
Located on Burgplatz square is the castle tower in Düsseldorf and is used as a maritime museum. The castle tower originally formed the northern end of the Düsseldorf castle. In 1552, Alessandro Pasqualini added a fourth polygonal floor to the tower, decorated with Tuscan columns. The weather vane is the figure of a fire blower, who was inspired by the head of the building authority.
