A market square is any square where a market is held, whether it is open or covered, and is the most touristic place in the city, where you can see some of the oldest buildings in Nijmegen. It is also the square where the popular market of typical products is held. The Market Square is the ideal starting point to visit the historic center of Nijmegen.

Kronenburgerpark

Located very close to the city center, this beautiful park is one of the most recommended visits to do in Nijmegen. It is the perfect place to stroll and enjoy a sunny day surrounded by nature. It has a beautiful lake, paths and areas to rest, as well as a playground for children. In the Kronenburgerpark you can also see the remains of the old medieval wall of Nijmegen.

Velorama

Is the only bicycle museum in the Netherlands. It is located at the Waalkade in the city of Nijmegen. The museum was founded in 1981 from the private collection of G.F. Moed. In three storeys it shows about 250 exhibits from nearly two centuries. The Velorama owns a large collection of bicycle literature and also preserves the historic archive of the Dutch bicycle manufacturer Gazelle.

Valkhof Museum

The Het Valkhof Museum is a museum in the Dutch province of Gelderland. In Roman times there was a Roman army camp here. Later, Emperor Charlemagne probably had a palatine (palace) built there. The present building was designed by Ben van Berkel. The clean lines and bright colors of the building contrast sharply with the park in which it stands.
