De Maaspoort Theater & Events
It is a theater and congress center located between the Oude Markt and the Peperstraat in Venlo. On August 24, 1984, De Maaspoort was inaugurated by Queen Beatrix. Discover why the name Maaspoort recalls the old city gate that was located in the immediate vicinity of the present theater.
Casino Sociëteit
Sociëteit Casino is a former open-air society and estate on the steep edge. The building has been acquired by the municipality and has the status of a municipal monument. The building was built in 1871 in neo-Renaissance style on behalf of the Vereeniging Casino, an open-air society for wealthy citizens of Venlo.
Limburg Museum
The Limburg Museum is a cultural-historical museum in Julianapark. The Limburg Museum was created in September 1993 from a merger between the Goltzius Museum in Venlo and the Limburgs Volkskundig Centrum in Limbricht. The Goltzius Museum was located in the Goltzius building and was the municipal museum of the city.
Stadskantoor
Stadskantoor is an office building on the Maaswaard that was put into use in 2016. The building was constructed as an office building to house Venlo’s municipal officials. The design is by Kraaijvanger Urbis. architectural firm and the project developer was Ballast Nedam. Construction began in 2012 and the property was commissioned in August 2016.
