Sassenpoort, Overijssel
The Sassenpoort in the city wall of Zwolle is a city gate that was built in the late 14th and early 15th century as part of the defense works of the city. Much natural stone was used for the construction, especially trachyte and tuff. Did you know that between 1894 and 1897 the gate was restored and dormers and a neo-Gothic pointed bell tower were installed? Be sure to check this out on your next visit!
Mill De Fortuin
Het Fortuyn was originally built in Delft, South Holland in 1696. The first mill on that site was a post mill built in 1551 and demolished during the Eighty Years’ War. Ittersumer Park
The Ittersumerpark is a park in the Ittersum district in the Dutch city of Zwolle. This park is located in the south of the district. Firstly, the park is spacious, with a large pond, around which the park is in half an arc. Finally, the park is primarily aimed at the inhabitants of the Ittersum district with a neighborhood meadow and playgrounds. This park is super inviting and is one of our favourite spots to relax in the city.
Bonami Games & Computers Museum
Do you know where to go to learn all about the history of video games? The Bonami Games & Computers Museum is an interactive museum in Zwolle that shows the history of home and game consoles. There is also an arcade room for you to check out! The walking route leads you along in chronological order through all the computers with many working systems that you can actually play!
