Maintower
The Maintower in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The building is 200 meters high, but with the transmission tower it measures 240 meters. Admirably, the design of the skyscraper appears to be that of two towers connected to each other.
The smaller tower is cubic in shape, and is based on a design common in 1970s architecture.
RÖMER
RÖMER is a medieval building that was sold to the city council by the Römer family.
During World War II, the building suffered multiple damages, however, it was later rebuilt and restored to its former splendor. So you can imagine what the walls and nooks and crannies of this important historical building in Frankfurt have seen.
Hammering Man
Hammering Man is a series of monumental kinetic sculptures by Jonathan Borofsky.
The two-dimensional painted steel sculptures were designed at different scales (from approximately 12 feet to 49 feet high). They were painted black, and made to depict a man with a motorized arm and hammer movement to symbolize workers throughout the world.
Wood Tower
The former observation tower fell victim to arson in October 2017 and left an open wound in the city forest and in the hearts of Frankfurt’s inhabitants.
The reconstruction of this, was carried out using a structure consisting mainly of sweet chestnut glulam beams.
