I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

You follow the activity using the free Loquiz app, with at most four players sharing one team phone. Friends can contribute observations and suggestions as they move through the city together. What can a detective-minded group choose?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Lubeck takes a case through the old town, from Marienkirchhof down to Holstentor. It is played at your own pace in the free Loquiz app, with a maximum of four players per team. A shared phone gives friends a focus for discussing the mystery as they walk. For a bachelor or bachelorette party, split into several teams when the guest list is larger. Let everyone contribute to the decisions so the activity stays shared within each small group.
How does the outdoor escape story use the streets?
The Lubeck Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas past Marktplatz, Marienkirche and Buddenbrookhaus. At most five players can share a team, using their own phone with the free Loquiz app. You guide yourselves through the outdoor activity, walking at your team's pace. That five-person limit may fit your guests differently from the other options. Plan the groups before you begin, and use a friendly competitive spirit to give the celebration a common story to start with.
What do we need to arrange for our group?
A Lubeck game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Allow four players per team in exploration or detective play, or five in the outdoor escape game, with one phone for each team. You can begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Decide which activity your friends prefer before assigning teams. Then agree a start and leave enough time for the walk within the day's celebration plans. The activity is self-guided throughout.
Can we organise this for a hen party?
Yes. Bachelor and bachelorette groups can play these walking games in small teams.
Is an app needed for exploration?
