Terms and conditions
1. Who we are
City Game B.V., Charlotte de Bourbonlaan 7, 2082 BH Santpoort-Zuid, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 86667459 ("City Game", "we"). Questions: hello@citygame.com.
2. What you buy
A ticket gives one team of up to four people access to one self-guided game in the chosen city, played on one phone. A City Game Pass gives one team of up to four people unlimited games in all cities for 12 months from booking (see article 11).
3. Booking and payment
Prices are shown before you book; prices in euros include VAT. The booking is final once paid. You receive your game link and invoice by e-mail.
4. Validity
A ticket can be used within 12 months of booking. A pass is valid for 12 months from booking.
5. Cancellation
See our cancellation policy.
6. Playing safely
You play in public space at your own risk. Follow traffic rules, respect private property and local rules, and keep an eye on your surroundings — never on the screen alone while crossing a street. Children play under the supervision of an adult.
7. Availability
The game runs in your browser and needs mobile data and location. If a location on the route is temporarily inaccessible, the game offers an alternative or a hint. If a game cannot be played because of a fault on our side, we offer a new date or a refund.
8. Your account, gold and items
Every booking comes with a free City Game account (see your account) that keeps what you win in our games. Booked through a travel site or booking platform? Your rewards and photos move to your own e-mail address as soon as you add it.
Gold, points, badges, items, characters and levels are part of the game. They have no money value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money (also not outside City Game), and are personal to your account; they can only change hands through trading in your account (article 9). We may correct gold, points or items given by mistake. We may change the rewards, their rules and the levels; if we change or end the rewards programme, gold and items may change or expire, and we will tell you in good time.
9. Trading and the gold shop
Trading. With a friend code you can give or swap items with other players in your account, without money. A new find is locked for 24 hours before you can trade it. Specials and items that are on the blockchain cannot be traded in your account.
Gold shop. In the gold shop you can get items with gold only; gold itself cannot be bought. Delivery is as described with the item. Gold you have spent is not given back.
10. Collectibles on the blockchain
Putting a collectible or souvenir in a wallet on the blockchain is optional and never needed to play. What is in your wallet is yours. A token gives you the picture it shows and no other rights (no share, no profit, no right to anything from City Game). We pay the network fee for putting it in your wallet. We are not liable for losing access to your wallet (for example a lost passkey or key), for fees of the network or other services you use yourself, or for the value a token may or may not have. Once a token is in your wallet, we cannot take it back or change it.
11. City Game Pass
A City Game Pass is personal. You play it from the pass holder's own City Game account, signed in. You can play one game at a time, with at least 2 hours between two starts, and at most 3 games a day. The perks of the pass (such as welcome gold, extra gold and early access to new games) are described on the pass page and belong to the pass holder's account.
12. Fair play
Results only count for the game of your own booking. Sharing codes or links with people outside your team, playing with scripts or automated calls, or other clear misuse can lead to removed points, gold or items, and in serious cases to a closed account. We tell you first and you can respond.
13. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking, except in case of intent or gross negligence.
14. Complaints
Send complaints to hello@citygame.com. We reply within 14 days.
15. Applicable law
Dutch law applies. This does not limit the protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
