I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What is the search for Augustus’s scepter?

Secrets of Pula asks you to help Emperor Augustus reclaim his lost scepter while unravelling the game's mysteries. This city game Pula passes the Temple of Augustus first, then Pula Cathedral and afterwards the Monument to the Partisans. These places belong to the route you follow while working through the search with your team.

You play in your own phone browser, without needing an app. Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours. The lost scepter gives your walk a clear purpose within the story. Everyone can contribute thoughts about the clues while you move at your own pace, making the exploration something you talk through together as well as a route through Pula.

Where does the murder investigation take you?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Pula gives your team a detective case using the free Loquiz app. Its route passes Pula Cathedral first, then Pula Castle, also called Kaštel, and afterwards the Temple of Augustus. The game's description names the Roman Theater as the starting place before you work through the old town.

Plan around 1.5 to 2 hours and use your own phone. Choose this story if your group wants an investigation rather than the search for Augustus's scepter. One person can call up and share the clues while everyone compares ideas about the case. That keeps the task shared as you walk, instead of leaving the investigation to the player holding the phone.

What are the conditions for your Pula team?

Your city game Pula costs €19.95 per team using one phone with at most four players. Both stories allow this team size. Decide who will join you and agree on the task you want: a lost-scepter search or a murder case. Each choice brings a different story into your self-guided walk.

You can begin whenever you like and should reserve around 1.5 to 2 hours. Use your browser for Secrets of Pula or the free Loquiz app for the detective game. Agree which phone your team will share and how you will pass the information to everyone. The others can discuss ideas and notice the places around you, keeping the walk and the chosen story connected throughout your outing.
