I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How do you search for Niccolò’s sword?

Secrets of Ferrara asks you to follow clues and help Niccolò III d’Este recover his sword. Your city game Ferrara passes the portal of Cattedrale di San Giorgio first, then Torre dell'Orologio and afterwards the city square near the bicycles. These places accompany the game route while the story gives everyone a common objective.

The game runs in your own phone browser, without an app. Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours. If your group wants an exploration with a shared search, the sword provides that focus. You can talk through clues, compare ideas and look around as you move at your own pace, making the story part of your time together in Ferrara.

Where do you walk during the detective story?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Ferrara gives your team a detective case using the free Loquiz app. You see Chiesa di San Domenico first, then Castello Estense and afterwards Corso Martiri della Libertà. This investigation follows its own route through the historic centre, separate from the sword-search story.

Plan around 1.5 to 2 hours and use your own phone. Choose this game if investigating a murder is the task you want for the outing. One person can share the clues from the screen while everyone offers thoughts. That keeps the investigation a group activity throughout the walk, rather than leaving the case entirely to the player who happens to hold the phone.

What should your Ferrara team arrange?

Your city game Ferrara costs €19.95 per team using one phone with at most four players. Both stories allow this team size. Put your group together within that limit and agree whether the sword search or the detective mystery is the story you want to follow before you start.

You can begin whenever you like and should set aside around 1.5 to 2 hours. The exploration opens in your browser; the murder case uses the free Loquiz app. Agree which phone you will share and who will read out the clues. The others can discuss ideas and pay attention to the surroundings, keeping the chosen task connected with a shared walk through Ferrara.
