Discover Poreč’s Hidden Secrets. Step into a sunlit maze of ancient mosaics, Roman ruins, and sea-kissed streets as you help Bishop Euphrasius reclaim his lost halo. Solve clues, uncover mysteries, and feel history come alive in this divine adventure.

Secrets of Poreč hands you the streets themselves as a puzzle. It is a self-guided scavenger hunt on your own phone — no guide, no group, no departure time.

The game reads your position, so each location arrives with its own riddle, puzzle or photograph to take. None of it can be answered from a screen — what you need is in front of you in Poreč, in whatever happens to be standing there. You finish knowing a set of things most residents never picked up.

Temple of Mars, Roman Grid Streets and Romanesque House are among the places you reach. The finding mostly happens in between, and none of it can be answered without actually standing there.

You also reach Bishop Dobrila Park and Zuccato Palace. Everyone works out soon enough that the useful detail is never the obvious one.

A Self-Guided Tour of Poreč That Asks the Questions

It delivers what a walking tour delivers — a proper route through Poreč, and the story behind the thing in front of you — and removes the two parts people put up with: the commentary and the waiting. Here you walk, you look, you work it out. At intermediate difficulty most groups get most of it and disagree happily about the remainder. There are riddles, there is code-breaking, and there are photographs you would never have thought to take.

Want to Plan a Fun Scavenger Hunt in Poreč?

Right here. Organising it means booking a date and then starting when it suits you. Nothing to print, nothing to plant beforehand, no clues to invent: the route through Poreč and everything on it is already built, about two hours across 3 to 4 km. One ticket covers up to four people on one phone for €19.95. The evening you were going to spend writing riddles is now free.

A Scavenger Hunt for Adults, Teams and Families in Poreč

Adults. Nothing about this resembles a printable list of things to find. It runs at intermediate difficulty, the riddles want things read properly rather than glanced at, and two hours passes without anyone checking their phone for other reasons.

Teams. A corporate scavenger hunt that needs no facilitator, no room booking and no scheduled start. Buy one ticket per four people, send the teams into Poreč on the same route, and compare who found what. Running several groups at once is what turns it into a competition.

Couples and friends. A self-guided walking tour that does not involve following an umbrella. You set the pace, stop where you want, and end up knowing things about Poreč that most people who live there do not.

Families. Children manage the walking easily and tend to win the photo tasks outright. Because the riddles get solved together, a group spanning three generations still functions as one team.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Secrets exploration game work?

Book a date and a link arrives by email. You start it at the first location in Poreč, and from there your position drives everything — each stop brings a riddle, a puzzle or a photograph to take, and answering it opens the next stop.

Is this a walking tour or a game?

Both, deliberately. On distance and route it is a walking tour of Poreč; on content it is a puzzle. The history arrives through the riddles rather than through a guide, and there is nobody to follow.

What do we need to bring?

A phone with battery and shoes that handle 3 to 4 km. You get a link when you book and open the game in your browser when you get there — no printing, no hiding things in advance, no kit to collect from anyone.

How long does it take?

Roughly two hours across 3 to 4 km of walking. Nothing counts down. The date is set at booking and the hour is yours, so a group that stops for lunch just finishes later.

How many people can play on one ticket?

One ticket covers a group of 1 to 4 people playing on one device, at €19.95 in total. Groups larger than four buy a second ticket, which also lets them play against each other.

Is it hard?

Intermediate. Observation and sideways thinking do the work; you do not need to know the city, and nothing on the route is built to stop you permanently.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. Children manage the 3 to 4 km easily and are usually the quickest at the photo tasks. The riddles are intermediate, so most families work through them together — which is how the game is meant to be played anyway.

Do we need to book a time slot?

No — only a date. The hour you actually begin is yours, and there is nobody waiting: no meeting point, no guide, no group.

What happens if it rains?

You play when it suits you and stop when it suits you, so a shower just means a coffee. No timer is running, and the route is exactly where you left it.

Will we actually learn something about Poreč?

That is the point of this one. The riddles are built on the history, the characters and the odd details of Poreč, so you finish knowing things most visitors never find out. Everything practical, starting point included, is on the Poreč page.

I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.
