Wir (Mein Mann, unsere 9-jährige Tochter und ich) haben heute ganz spontan das Spiel "Moordmysterie Düsseldorf" gebucht und gespielt. Die Buchung verlief schnell und reibungslos. Es hat super viel Spaß gemacht! Die Story, die Rätsel, das Konzept, die Route, die Gestaltung der App... richtig gut!!! Das Spiel würde ich vor allem Familien mit Kindern empfehlen. Für Erwachsene waren die Rätsel (meiner Meinung nach) zu einfach. Aber trotzdem wegen der schönen Route durch Düsseldorf, der Story, den lustigen Anweisungen zwischendurch eine schöne Aktion, die man zusammen machen kann.

I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Is Halloween a thing on Samos?
Halloween is a newer, imported festival on Samos, mostly marked with costume parties and children dressing up rather than old island rituals. Greece has its own days for remembering the dead, and the big costume season here is the carnival before Lent, not the end of October.
That makes late October a calm, atmospheric time to visit. The summer crowds have gone, the light fades early over the bay and the streets of Vathy belong to the people who live there. Samos is the island of Pythagoras, the mathematician who believed in numbers, harmony and the soul moving on after death. A night spent working through clues and numbers in his home town feels like a fitting way to mark the season.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Samos is a detective game you play on foot through Vathy, in the free Loquiz app on your own phone. The story is based on Sherlock Holmes: a crime has been committed, and your team follows the trail, questions the clues and names the culprit.
On the way you pass the wine museum, a reminder of the sweet Samos wine the island is known for, and cross the central square with its statue of Pythagoras. You walk along the harbour past the port authority building and reach the archaeological museum, home to a giant ancient kouros statue. In the dark, with the sea on one side and shuttered houses on the other, every riddle feels a little more sinister. Play time is 1.5 to 2 hours, and you start whenever you want.
