I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which legends and dark history belong to Monza?
Monza's story starts with a legend. Theodelinda, queen of the Lombards around the year 600, is said to have been told by a dove where to build her church, and that is where the Duomo di Monza stands today. In the cathedral treasury is kept the Iron Crown, said to contain a nail from the cross of Christ.
The town also saw a royal murder. On 29 July 1900 King Umberto I was shot dead in Monza by the anarchist Gaetano Bresci. An expiatory chapel was later built on the spot. On a dark October evening these stories give the old streets a serious, slightly eerie edge.

How is Halloween celebrated in Monza?
In Lombardy the traditional days are Ognissanti on 1 November and the day of the dead on 2 November, when families bring flowers to the cemeteries. Halloween has caught on mostly with children and young people, with costumes and pumpkins.
For a halloween Monza outing that suits adults too, a game on foot through the old centre works well. You see the cathedral and Theodelinda's Tower in the evening light, and the quiet streets make the mystery more fun.
What do you see on Secrets of Monza?
Secrets of Monza takes you past the Duomo di Monza, Theodelinda's Tower, the Bridge of Lions over the Lambro and the murals on Via Talamoni. At each stop a riddle or photo task brings you closer to the lost crucifix.
You play in the browser on your own phone, no app needed, and it takes 1.5 to 2 hours. The price is €19.95 per team: one phone, at most 4 players. With the code HALLOWEEN50 you get 50% off all our games until 2 November.
Is there a ghost game for halloween Monza?
Our ghost game Ghost Hunters is coming to Monza. Leave your e-mail address on this page and we will tell you when it starts.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Secrets of Monza runs in the browser on your own phone.
When can we play?
Whenever you like, every day. Start in the afternoon or in the evening, it is up to you.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. It is a puzzle adventure about a queen and a lost crucifix, not a horror game.
