I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Halloween Al Hoceima: a young town with a hard history
Al Hoceima is a young town with a dramatic past. It grew up in the 1920s under Spanish rule, after the landing in the bay in 1925 that ended the Rif War led by Abd el-Krim, and for years it carried a Spanish name. The Rif mountains behind the town were the scene of fierce fighting in those years.
The ground here has also shaken. In February 2004 an earthquake struck the region around Al Hoceima and hundreds of people died, most of them in villages nearby. We do not tell invented ghost stories about the town. Its history, the dark mountains behind it and the sea in front of it give an evening walk enough atmosphere on their own.

Halloween in Al Hoceima: make your own evening
Halloween is not a local tradition in Morocco, so you will not find a town decorated for it. That leaves room to make your own Halloween Al Hoceima evening. At the end of October the evenings by the Mediterranean are mild, the beaches are quiet after the summer and the harbour lights come on early.
A detective story suits that calm, slightly mysterious mood: a crime to solve, suspects to question and clues hidden in streets you are walking for the first time. It works for friends, couples, families with older children and colleagues looking for an outing with a story.
