I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Undas, Balete Drive and the spooky side of Quezon City
In the Philippines the days around Halloween belong to Undas: on 1 and 2 November families visit the graves of their loved ones, bring flowers and candles, and often stay at the cemetery for hours. Halloween parties and trick-or-treating have become popular as well, especially in malls and villages.
Quezon City also has one of the best known ghost stories in the country. Balete Drive, in the New Manila area, is famous for the tale of a white lady who appears to drivers at night beside the old balete trees.
The city's history is serious too. Quezon City was the capital of the Philippines for decades, and the Quezon Memorial Circle holds the remains of President Manuel L. Quezon, after whom the city is named.

Your route through the murder mystery
The Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Quezon City is a detective game of 1.5 to 2 hours, played on your own phone with the free Loquiz app. Its story is based on Sherlock Holmes.
You start your investigation around Quezon City Hall and walk on past Gateway Mall 2. The trail then crosses to the Quezon Memorial Circle, the big park with its tall memorial in the middle, and continues towards the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center.
At each stop you collect clues, read statements and solve puzzles until you can name the murderer. Play in the late afternoon, when the heat drops, and finish as the lights come on. A crime story with a dark twist suits the Halloween season well.
