Doha grew from a pearling town into a skyline in one lifetime. The corniche curves for seven kilometres along the bay, with the wooden dhows still moored at one end and the Museum of Islamic Art on its own island at the other. Souq Waqif rebuilt its mud-rendered lanes as a market of spice sellers, falcon shops and tea houses that fills up after sunset.
Between June and September the heat is extreme, so play in the evening or in winter. Modest clothing is expected in the souk and at public sites. Compare all City Games or browse all our destinations to pick your next city.
