I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What is the challenge for your team?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Thessaloniki is a self-guided detective game lasting around 1.5 to 2 hours. You follow the murder investigation on foot with your own group, using a shared phone for the game. The case gives you a reason to compare ideas rather than simply agree on the next street to take. Someone may question an assumption or suggest a connection the rest of you had overlooked. This scavenger hunt Thessaloniki works well as a shared activity for people who enjoy reasoning together. You choose the pace and take responsibility for following the investigation yourselves.

Where does the detective route take you?
The walk leads from Aristotelous Square towards the White Tower and the Rotunda in Thessaloniki. The Church of St. Demetrios is also among the route stops you see during the game. Those places give the investigation a setting outside the phone, making the walk an active part of your outing. Look around between pieces of information and bring your group back to the case when there is a theory to consider. Since you play without a guide, you can keep the activity conversational and follow the route at a pace that leaves room for everyone's thoughts.
What are the cost and phone requirements?
Playing costs €19.95 per team: one phone, at most 4 players, and the game uses the free Loquiz app. Choose your group and shared phone, then leave around 1.5 to 2 hours in your plans. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game is valid for 12 months. That makes a scavenger hunt Thessaloniki flexible to arrange with a couple of friends or relatives.
