I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can your group solve in Catania?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Catania is a self-guided detective game lasting around 1.5 to 2 hours. You use one shared phone to follow the investigation while walking with your own companions. A murder case offers more than a reason to keep moving: it asks you to make sense of information together. You can propose a theory, explain why you find it convincing and listen when someone spots a gap. A scavenger hunt Catania suits a small group that enjoys this kind of conversation. The team follows the game independently and chooses its own pace through the city.

Which places provide the route setting?
The route description goes from Catania's cathedral square towards Ursino Castle and the Roman amphitheatre. Palazzo Biscari and Basilica Cattedrale di Sant'Agata are also among the sights you see on the route. The city gives your investigation a setting outside the phone, so keep looking around between discussions. You do not need to spend every moment reading the screen. Bring your companions into the conversation when there is information to consider, then continue the walk together. Your own group is in charge of its pace, with the case providing a common thread as you explore on foot.
How do the team price and starting time work?
The game costs €19.95 per team: one phone, at most 4 players, and runs through the free Loquiz app. Choose who is joining and which phone your team will share. Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours when arranging the outing. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the game is valid for 12 months. That makes a scavenger hunt Catania flexible to plan with friends, family members, a partner or colleagues. Give each person access to the information and a chance to contribute, so working out the murder case remains a shared activity throughout the walk.
