I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What does the exploratory tour include?
Secrets of Kortrijk is a self-guided walking tour past the Grote Markt belfry and Broel Towers, with puzzles and photo tasks. You also pass Kortrijk Railway Station along the route. The game plays in the browser on your own phone without an app. Choose this option if colleagues want to explore with different ways to join the activity. You can share the reading, discuss answers and take part in photo tasks together. In a team of at most four, everyone has space to offer an idea. The tour gives the walk a purpose without leaving one colleague responsible for creating a challenge at every place you see.

Where does the detective case unfold?
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Kortrijk leads your team from the Grote Markt to the beguinage and Broel Towers. You investigate the walking case through the free Loquiz app, with one phone shared by at most four players. Pick the mystery if your colleagues would enjoy a case as the thread connecting their outing. Let everyone hear each prompt and consider different suggestions before agreeing on your next answer. Rotating the reading role keeps the responsibility shared and gives quieter teammates a chance to lead. The small team can explore and discuss together while the story provides a common focus throughout this part of the day.
How do you organise the group game?
Both Kortrijk games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team. Start whenever you want, every day, within the booking’s 12-month validity. Put colleagues into teams of at most four with a phone for each team. All teams can begin at the same time and compare their scores after playing. Decide whether to prepare the browser for the puzzle tour or the free Loquiz app for the mystery. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. Give the complete walk enough time in your plans so teammates can enjoy working together without rushing to another arrangement.
