I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which games suit teams of up to four?
Secrets of Copenhagen starts on Rådhuspladsen and leads through the centre with puzzles and photo tasks. Your colleagues guide themselves on a shared phone, offering observations as they approach the exploration activity together. Choose it when varied city tasks sound like the right focus for your outing.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Copenhagen follows a case from Rådhuspladsen along Strøget to Christiansborg Slot. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss during the walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Arrange a phone for every team and let everyone suggest ideas, rather than leaving decisions only to the person handling the screen.

What outdoor escape choice accommodates five?
The Copenhagen Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes teams after Magnus and the stolen formulas from Christiansborg Slotsplads to Nyhavn. The route also passes Holmens Kirke. It allows at most five players sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the outdoor story at their team's pace.
The five-player limit offers your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Everyone can help make decisions around the phone, keeping the chase a shared activity. Choose it when an outdoor escape story sounds right for the outing. Keep rivalry relaxed and prepare each team's device before gathering so colleagues are ready to follow the walking game together.
How do we plan the group cost and start?
Each game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate team numbers within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose your story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its size, then prepare the phones. You can begin whenever you want on any day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow time for the walk while teams follow the self-guided activity on their own devices.
