I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the detective case lead?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Innsbruck takes your team from the Annasäule to the Golden Roof and the Hofburg. You investigate on foot through the free Loquiz app. Pick this game if your friends would enjoy a mystery as the thread connecting their walk. Read the prompts together and hear different interpretations before deciding on an answer. The story gives your route a shared purpose without asking one friend to explain a tour to everyone else. Between decisions, the walking time creates room for conversation. Your small team can explore and discuss together rather than leave the activity entirely with the person holding the phone throughout the outing.

How do you organise the friends into teams?

The Innsbruck detective game allows at most four players to share one phone per team. Split a larger bachelor or bachelorette group accordingly and agree on which device each team will use before meeting. Rotate the reading role so one person does not handle every prompt and decide every answer. Invite quieter friends to explain their ideas alongside hearing the quick suggestions. The small-team format makes the discussion manageable and gives each person a way to join in. Friendly competition can add energy to the beginning of the celebration while the case keeps your teammates working towards the same goal. Everyone can help shape the next decision as the walk continues.

What are the price and timing details?

The game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. You can start whenever you want, every day, within the booking’s 12-month validity. Prepare the free Loquiz app and arrange a phone for each team of at most four players. Settle the team division before friends gather so you can concentrate on the case when you are ready to walk. Give the complete activity a clear place in your party schedule instead of squeezing it between other plans. That leaves room for friends to exchange ideas and enjoy playing together. Afterwards, carry on with the other parts of the celebration you have organised for your group.

Which app do friends prepare?

What is the team size limit?

How long does the walk take?

The game takes 1.5 to 2 hours.

Can we choose our starting time?
