I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which route will colleagues investigate in Innsbruck?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Innsbruck takes you from the Annasäule to the Golden Roof and the Hofburg. You follow the case on foot with the free Loquiz app, using the central city as the setting for your team’s investigation. The route gives colleagues time outside while the fictional mystery provides something concrete to discuss. Ask why someone thinks an answer fits and consider another interpretation before your group responds. That gives different colleagues room to contribute to the task. The activity combines exploring with a shared problem, keeping the team conversation connected to the case as you spend this part of the outing together.

How do you organise several teams of colleagues?

Each team has at most 4 players and uses its own phone; all teams can start at the same time and compare their scores. Decide the groups before the outing so colleagues know who they will investigate with. You could mix people who rarely work in the same small group, giving them the case as an immediate shared topic. Keep the screen accessible and let responses come from discussion. Comparing scores creates something for the wider group to talk about after play, while the small teams leave space for each person’s ideas during the investigation. The phone holder can participate without needing to direct every answer.

What should you allow for the work outing?

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at €19.95 per team, with larger groups asking for a group quote on the website. You can play daily, start whenever you like and use your booking within 12 months. Prepare the free Loquiz app on each team’s phone before the case begins. Agree on the teams and choose a starting moment that lets colleagues gather, then give the walk enough time in your plans. With those arrangements made, the investigation supplies a common task for the outing. Leave space to discuss answers as you explore and compare team scores afterwards, returning to the different ways your colleagues approached the mystery.

Which app should colleagues use?

Use the free Loquiz app on your own phone.

How many play on each team?

Can teams begin together?

Yes. All teams can start at the same time and compare their scores.

How do larger groups arrange the activity?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website. The game costs €19.95 per team.
