I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can an exploration team discover?

Secrets of Mannheim combines puzzles and photo tasks with stories about Paradeplatz, the palace and the old churches. At most four players share a phone and follow the exploration game using the free Loquiz app. Friends can contribute their observations and ideas as the team moves through the city together. Choose it when your party wants a varied walking activity to start the day. You guide yourselves, making decisions as a small group and setting a pace that works for the team.

Where does the detective option lead?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Mannheim takes a case from the Wasserturm on Friedrichsplatz through the Quadrate to the Baroque Palace. The free Loquiz app carries the game on your own phone, with at most four players per team. Your friends can discuss the story as they walk and decide what to do together. A bachelor or bachelorette party can split into several teams if necessary. Pick this mystery when following a case sounds like the right focus for your group's shared activity.

How can five friends join an outdoor chase?

The Mannheim Syndicate (outdoor escape game) starts on Paradeplatz and follows Magnus and the stolen formulas through the city's blocks. The walk also takes you past Marktplatz and Konkordienkirche. At most five players use one team phone with the free Loquiz app. This outdoor activity is self-guided, leaving your group to follow the story at its own pace. Use its player limit when arranging guests into teams, and invite everyone to contribute ideas so the friendly challenge stays shared throughout the walk.

What are the practical booking details?

A Mannheim game costs €19.95 per team for 1.5 to 2 hours of play. Arrange four players per team for exploration or detective work, or five for the outdoor escape game, with one phone for every team. A larger party needs additional teams. You can begin whenever you want, every day, and your booking is valid for 12 months. First choose your game, then settle the team arrangements and a start time. Leave space for the activity within the celebration plans you make together.
