I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which quest follows Galileo’s telescope?

Secrets of Pisa is a puzzle walk built around recovering Galileo’s legendary telescope. Your team plays in the browser on its own phone, with no app needed and at most four players. Along the way you see Gipsoteca di Arte Antica, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and Bagni di Nerone. The search gives the group a narrative to follow while you move through the city together. Encourage teammates to read, observe and discuss instead of leaving every decision to the person with the phone. That shared involvement is what makes the walk useful for a celebration: your friends have a common task and a reason to listen to each other’s suggestions.

How does the detective walk differ?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Pisa takes you from Piazza dei Cavalieri to the tower on Piazza dei Miracoli. You follow the detective case through the free Loquiz app, with at most four people sharing one phone. This is a different story choice for friends who would enjoy investigating together. Let the group hear each prompt and consider everyone’s ideas before settling on the next answer. Taking turns with the device can help keep the responsibility shared. A bachelor or bachelorette group can bring a competitive spirit to the walk while still enjoying the conversations along the way. Choose the case if that theme appeals more than the telescope quest.

How can you plan the team activity?

Both Pisa games take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team. Starting is flexible every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Sort the group into teams of at most four friends, with one phone for each team. Agree which story you want to play and prepare the browser or the free Loquiz app accordingly. Leave a proper space for the walk in your celebration rather than trying to fit it into a brief gap. The game can be the shared beginning that gets friends working together, while you remain free to organise the other parts of the day around your own plans.

What is the maximum number in a team?

Both Pisa games allow at most four players on one phone.

Do we need an app for the telescope quest?

No. Secrets of Pisa works in your phone’s browser without an app.

What does the team pay?

Either game costs €19.95 per team.

Is a specific starting hour required?

No. Start whenever you want, every day, within the booking’s 12-month validity.
