I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What is the glowing-lightbulb quest?

Secrets of Bydgoszcz asks your team to help Ron Sulimak return the city’s last glowing lightbulb to its proper place. You play in the browser on your own phone, without an app, with at most four players per team. Along the route you see Muzeum Okręgowe im. Leona Wyczółkowskiego, Stary Rynek and Pomnik św. Jana Nepomucena. The fictional quest gives friends a common purpose as they walk. Invite everyone to offer observations and take turns reading the prompts before deciding on an answer. For a bachelor or bachelorette group, that shared effort can make the first activity sociable, with a story to follow and room for different ideas.

Where does the detective alternative go?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bydgoszcz follows a walking case from Mill Island past the Brda to the cathedral. Your team uses the free Loquiz app, with one phone shared by at most four players. Choose this game if your friends prefer the idea of investigating a mystery to following the lightbulb quest. Keep the prompts available to the whole team and discuss possible answers before making a decision. Switching the reading role can help everyone contribute instead of leaving the activity to the person holding the phone. The small-team format can bring friendly competition to the gathering while the case gives your walk a focus that connects each stage of the outing.

How do you organise the party walk?

Each Bydgoszcz game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. You can start whenever you want, every day, and the booking remains valid for 12 months. Form teams of at most four and arrange a phone for each before the group gathers. Confirm whether you want the browser-based quest or the detective game in the free Loquiz app. Leave space for the full walking activity in your celebration plans rather than squeezing it between other arrangements. With the game choice settled, your friends can concentrate on working together and enjoying their first shared challenge before continuing with the rest of the stag or hen day.
