I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can a four-player team explore or investigate?
Secrets of Gothenburg follows Johan the Swift and Erik the Bear as they search for the sacred blades of their old duel. The walk passes Gustav Adolfs Torg, Gothenburg City Museum and Kronhuset. It allows four players per team and runs in the browser on your own phone, with no app needed.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Gothenburg follows a detective case from Gustaf Adolfs Torg past Kronhuset to Feskekôrka. It also allows at most four players sharing a phone, but uses the free Loquiz app. Pick the story your friends want to discuss during the walk. Larger parties can form several teams, with a phone prepared for each one.

Which outdoor escape story can five friends follow?
The Gothenburg Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes teams after Magnus and the stolen formulas past Göteborgs domkyrka, Kungsportsplatsen and Christinae kyrka. It uses the free Loquiz app on one phone and allows at most five players per team. Your friends guide themselves through the streets at their own pace.
For a bachelor or bachelorette party, that player limit gives you another way to divide your guests. Everyone can contribute ideas while one person handles the phone, keeping the activity shared within each team. Let rivalry remain relaxed as the chase gives the celebration a common opening challenge. Arrange a device for every team before you meet to begin the outdoor story together.
What do we arrange for the group’s budget and start?
Each Gothenburg game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Calculate how many teams your guests need within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game. Every team uses one phone, so a larger party needs several bookings and devices within those limits.
You can begin on any day whenever you want, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Choose the story before assigning friends so the teams fit. Check its phone setup, agree a start and leave enough room for the walk in your celebration plans. The self-guided format lets your group organise its own beginning and follow the activity together.
