I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Where does the exploration game take you?

Secrets of Bangkok starts at the Rama IV statue and leads towards Wat Phra Kaew with puzzles to solve. Along the route you see Maha Sura Singhanat Monument, followed by Bangkok City Pillar Shrine and Ministry of Defence. A team of up to four players uses one phone with the free Loquiz app. The game takes 1.5 to 2 hours. For a city game Bangkok focused on exploration, it connects places with tasks your group can discuss. Read the clues, compare interpretations and decide together how you will approach the next puzzle. You navigate independently and use your observations to keep the shared activity moving as you explore on foot.

How do the investigation and chase routes differ?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bangkok follows a case from Tha Chang Pier past Wat Pho to the City Pillar Shrine. Its early stops take you past Maha Sura Singhanat Monument, then Pom Sanjonchaiwing and Thammasat University, Tha Phra Chan. Up to four players investigate together. The Bangkok Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and stolen formulas from Banglamphu Square towards Wat Bowonniwet Wihan and Phra Sumen Fort. You see Soi Rambuttri, Wat Bowonniwet Wihan and Thanon Phra Sumen in that order. This pursuit allows up to five players. Both games use the free Loquiz app on one phone and take 1.5 to 2 hours, with your group exploring at its own pace.

What does the outing cost and how do you begin?

The Bangkok games cost €19.95 per team sharing one phone, with a maximum of four players or five for the Syndicate game. To plan your city game Bangkok, decide which story your group wants to follow and reserve 1.5 to 2 hours.
