I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which ghost stories does Bangkok tell?
In Bangkok, spirits are part of daily life. Almost every house and office has a small spirit house in front, where people leave food, drinks and flowers so the local spirits stay content.
The city's most famous ghost is Mae Nak of Phra Khanong, a young wife who is said to have waited for her husband even after she died in childbirth. Her story has been told in films and plays for generations. Near the Grand Palace, the City Pillar Shrine (Lak Mueang) marks the founding of Bangkok in 1782 and is believed to house the guardian spirit of the city. Visit it at dusk and you understand how seriously these beliefs are taken.

Halloween in Bangkok: what to expect
Halloween is a borrowed festival in Thailand, mostly seen in bars, malls and parties around the end of October. It sits alongside a much older local respect for spirits.
That makes an evening walk through the old town a good choice. After sunset the air cools a little, temples and forts glow under their lights and the backstreets of Banglamphu fill with food stalls. A city game gives your group a route and a goal while you take it all in.
Which City Game can you play in Bangkok at Halloween?
Secrets of Bangkok starts at the Statue of King Rama IV and passes the Maha Sura Singhanat Monument and the City Pillar Shrine on the way to the Phan Loha Fountain. Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bangkok is a detective story based on Sherlock Holmes that leads you past Pom Sanjonchaiwing and Wat Mahathat.
The Bangkok Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes 2 to 5 players from Soi Rambuttri past Wat Bowonniwet Wihan to Phra Sumen Fort: an outdoor alternative to an escape room. All games run in the free Loquiz app, take 1.5 to 2 hours and cost €19.95 per team.
Our ghost game Ghost Hunters is coming to Bangkok. Leave your e-mail address on this page to hear when it starts.
What does halloween Bangkok with City Game cost?
A game costs €19.95 per team: one phone, at most 4 players, or 2 to 5 players for the Syndicate. The code HALLOWEEN50 halves the price until 2 November.
Can we start in the evening?
Yes. You start whenever you like, every day, and your ticket stays valid for 12 months.
Do we need to visit temples inside?
No. The routes pass temples and shrines as things you see on the way, so you can play without going in.
