I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What do you see on the puzzle exploration?

Secrets of Gorinchem combines a self-guided walking tour with puzzles and photo tasks. Your city game Gorinchem passes Visbrug first, then Geometrie in het landschap and afterwards Wilhelminapark. These places accompany the route while your team works through the tasks, giving you a shared activity during your exploration of the city.

You play with the free Loquiz app on your own phone and allow around 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose this story if you want different kinds of tasks during the outing. Everyone can discuss ideas while one person shares the instructions. Looking around and following the game can be part of the same conversation as your group moves at its own pace.

Where does the detective trail start?

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Gorinchem describes a detective game starting on Grote Markt and following a trail out to the ramparts. You pass Grote Markt first, then Gorcums Museum and afterwards Watertoren Gorinchem. These places belong to the investigation's route through the walled centre.

The case uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Decide before beginning whether a detective story is the task you want to share. One player can call up the clues and read them aloud, while everyone contributes thoughts. That keeps the mystery a group activity throughout the walk and gives your team a common objective to discuss as you go.

How do you organise your Gorinchem group?

Your city game Gorinchem costs €19.95 per team with one phone and at most four players. This limit applies to both games. Decide who will join you and agree whether your group wants puzzles with photo tasks or a detective case. Both stories run with the same free Loquiz app.

You can start whenever you like and should reserve around 1.5 to 2 hours. Agree which phone your team will share and who will pass on the clues to everyone. The other players can notice the surroundings and compare ideas while you follow the selected story. Sharing the information keeps your self-guided walk connected with a task that the whole group takes part in together.
