I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

How does the Little Italy scavenger hunt work?
Secrets of San Diego is a self-guided scavenger hunt through Little Italy, past piazzas, a fountain and the firehouse museum. This city game San Diego passes The Guardian of Water, then Piazza della Famiglia and afterwards San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Station 2. These places accompany your route while the game gives your group a shared task.
You use the free Loquiz app on your own phone and plan around 1.5 to 2 hours. Choose this exploration if you want Little Italy as the setting for your outing. Everyone can discuss the clues while one player shares the information from the phone, keeping the game and the surroundings part of your conversation as you walk.

Which story follows Magnus through Old Town?
The San Diego Syndicate (outdoor escape game) asks you to pick up the trail of Magnus and the stolen formulas in Old Town. You see Whaley House Museum first, then Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and afterwards Presidio Plaza. The pursuit is a separate route and story from the Little Italy scavenger hunt.
The game uses the free Loquiz app on your own phone and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Decide before beginning whether chasing the formulas is the task your group wants. The clues give everyone information to discuss, so one person can read them aloud while all players compare ideas. That keeps the pursuit a shared activity during your self-guided walk through Old Town.
What are the team size and price differences?
Your city game San Diego costs €19.95 per team with one phone, and the player limit depends on the story. Secrets of San Diego allows at most four players. The San Diego Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five. Choose the story with a team limit that fits your group.
You can start whenever you like and should reserve around 1.5 to 2 hours. Both games use the free Loquiz app, so your main decisions are the setting, task and group size. You can then share the clues and discuss thoughts while moving at your own pace, keeping everyone involved throughout the outing.
