I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Legends and dark history in Poznań
Poznań's most famous legend is not frightening but it is odd: every day at noon two mechanical goats butt heads above the clock of the Town Hall. The story says two real goats once escaped from the kitchen during a feast and climbed the tower, and the townspeople found it so funny that they were remembered forever.
The city has darker chapters too. During the Second World War the Germans turned the New Synagogue into a swimming pool. In June 1956 workers in Poznań rose up against the communist regime, and many of them were killed.
In Poland the end of October leads to All Saints' Day on 1 November, when cemeteries are full of candles. Halloween parties are newer but popular in the city.

What you see on the Secrets of Poznan route
Secrets of Poznan is a self-guided walking game of 1.5 to 2 hours that you play in the browser on your own phone, no app needed.
You start at Poznań Town Hall, with its Renaissance façade and the clock where the goats appear. From there you explore the Stary Rynek, the old market square lined with narrow, colourful houses. The route continues past the New Synagogue, to the Baszta Armatnia, a cannon tower from the old city walls, and up to the Royal Castle on the hill.
At each stop you solve a puzzle or take a photo. After dark, with the castle lit above you and the market square quiet, the old town feels full of secrets.
