I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which walks suit four colleagues sharing a phone?

Secrets of Cairns combines puzzles and photo tasks with a walk past Cairns Art Gallery, Cairns Esplanade, the Lagoon and the marina. It offers varied exploration tasks for colleagues to approach together. You guide yourselves, sharing observations as you follow the activity on your team phone.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Cairns follows a case from St Monica's Cathedral past the Night Markets to Cairns Art Gallery. Choose it when colleagues prefer a detective story to discuss during their walk. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare one phone for every team and encourage everyone to contribute rather than relying only on the screen holder.

What outdoor escape choice accommodates five colleagues?

The Cairns Syndicate (outdoor escape game) takes teams after Magnus and the stolen formulas from Munro Martin Parklands to the Esplanade Lagoon. The route also passes St Monica's Cathedral. It allows at most five players per team using one phone with the free Loquiz app, following the outdoor story at your own pace.

This larger team limit offers your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Each team needs a phone, while everyone can help make decisions around the screen. Keep the competition friendly as the chase gives the outing a common focus. You guide yourselves through the activity, letting the team discuss different approaches as it follows the story together.

How can our department begin together?

Each Cairns game costs €19.95 per team and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape game, and arrange a phone for each group. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose your game first, organise colleagues into teams that fit its limit and prepare the phones. You can begin whenever you want on any day, and the booking remains valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow time for the walk, with each small team following its activity on its own device.

Can we compare results between teams?

Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare their scores, each playing on its own phone.

Which game allows five colleagues together?

The Cairns Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five players per team. The other games allow four.

How do we arrange a larger group?

Ask for a group quote on the website and organise a phone for each team.

Do the team phones need an app?

All three games use the free Loquiz app.
