I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

Which games suit teams of up to four?

Secrets of Bonn starts on Markt and leads past Altes Rathaus with puzzles and photo tasks. Colleagues follow the self-guided exploration game on one phone, contributing observations as they walk. It suits a group that wants varied tasks to approach together during its outing, with room for everyone's ideas.

Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Bonn takes a case past Remigiusplatz, Münsterplatz and the Beethoven-Denkmal. Pick this option when colleagues want a detective story to discuss as they walk at their own pace. Both games use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for every team and encourage everyone to help with decisions during the activity.

What can five colleagues choose outdoors?

The Bonn Syndicate (outdoor escape game) starts on Münsterplatz and follows Magnus and the stolen formulas through the old town. You pass Bonner Münster and Sterntor along the route. It allows at most five players per team, sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app and following the story at your own pace.

This different team limit gives your organiser another way to arrange colleagues into small groups. Everyone can contribute ideas while one person handles the screen. Choose it when an outdoor escape chase sounds like the right common focus for your outing. Keep competition friendly, give different approaches room in the discussion and prepare each team's phone before meeting to start together.

How do we coordinate the start and company booking?

Each Bonn game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option. Each team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

All teams can begin at the same time and compare scores. Choose your story before assigning colleagues so the groups fit its player limit, then prepare their phones. You can start whenever you want, every day, with a booking valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow room for the walk in your outing's plans, while each small team follows the self-guided activity on its own device.

Can our colleagues start together?

Yes. Teams can start at the same time and compare scores, each playing on its own phone.

Which game allows five people?

The Bonn Syndicate (outdoor escape game) allows at most five players per team. The other options allow four.

How can a larger group request a price?

Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.

What app do our phones need?

All three games use the free Loquiz app on your own team phone.
