I had a fantastic experience with CityGame! The concept is creative, engaging, and a great way to explore a city in a completely new way. The games are well-designed, combining puzzles, storytelling, and adventure so you’re constantly discovering something interesting around every corner. What I especially love is how CityGame turns a normal walk through the city into an interactive experience. It’s perfect for friends, families, or team outings, and it makes sightseeing much more exciting than the usual tours. Everything was easy to use, the challenges were fun and clever, and it really encouraged us to look closer at the city and its hidden details. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and memorable way to explore!

This is an interesting way to conduct a self-guided Amsterdam city tour. It used the GPS on your phone to guide you to stops on a route. There are mini quizzes once you arrive at the stops on the path. The quizzes draw your attention to features in front of you or to a brief history of the place. In many cases, we visited a spot that would not have been obvious as a regular passer by. The tour as a whole was interesting to us as newcomers, but I would have liked more information on many locations we visited - a few links outside of the app for each place would have been helpful. Beyond that, the interface was a bit clunky and sometimes awkward to navigate. We definitely don't regret trying this out and feel like we got our money's worth on the experience.

What can teams of four explore or investigate?
Secrets of Magdeburg offers a self-guided exploration game around Alter Markt, the Roland statue and the old city squares. Colleagues share a phone and bring observations to the activity as they walk. Choose it when exploring together is part of what your group wants from the outing.
Sherlock Holmes murder mystery in Magdeburg follows a case from Kathedrale St. Sebastian to Grüne Zitadelle. It gives colleagues a detective story to discuss while walking at their own pace. Both options use the free Loquiz app and allow at most four players per team. Prepare a phone for every team, and invite everyone to help decide what to do next.

Which outdoor escape story accommodates five colleagues?
The Magdeburg Syndicate (outdoor escape game) follows Magnus and the stolen formulas from Friedensplatz to Domplatz and Hubbrücke. It allows at most five players per team, sharing one phone with the free Loquiz app. Colleagues guide themselves through the story outdoors and follow it at their own pace.
That limit gives your organiser another way to divide the group into small teams. Everyone can suggest ideas while one person handles the screen, keeping the activity shared around the phone. Keep competition friendly and make room for different approaches during the chase. Choose this option when an outdoor escape story sounds like the right common focus for your colleagues' outing.
How do we arrange the group budget and start?
Each game costs €19.95 per team and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Count teams within the four-player exploration and detective limit, or five for the outdoor escape option. Every team uses its own phone. Larger groups can ask for a group quote on the website.
All teams can start at the same time and compare scores. Choose a game first, assign colleagues within its limit and prepare the phones. You may begin whenever you want, every day, and the booking is valid for 12 months. Agree a shared start and allow time for the walk while each team follows the self-guided activity on its own device.
